Come join our growing cancer genetic counseling team! We are looking for a full-time clinical cancer genetic counselor to join our team of 5 genetic counselors for in-person clinics at the Emory Winship Cancer Institute main (Clifton) campus location with some travel to our nearby clinic at Emory Decatur Hospital. There are opportunities to participate in tumor boards, multidisciplinary clinics, genetic counseling and resident training, and community outreach. New graduates with a passion for working in cancer genetics in an academic environment are encouraged to apply.

Description

We're seeking a dedicated Genetic Counselor II to continue the growth of our Genetic Counseling team at one of our Emory Clinics. As part of the team, you will provide genetic counseling services to individuals and families according to established practices, policies, and procedures within the context of the department's genetic clinics and programs including, but not limited to general genetics clinics, metabolic disease clinics, specialty clinics, prenatal/preconception clinics, cancer risk assessment clinics, outreach clinics, newborn screening program, nutrition program, Lysosomal Storage Disease Program, and Infusion Center. You will support genetic laboratory operations through coordination of diagnostic lab testing, result reporting, and consultation with patients and clients. Additionally, you will assist with training students, interns, residents, fellows, and volunteers and participate in clinical trials.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's degree in Genetic Counseling from an accredited ABGC training program.
  • Board certification as a Genetic Counselor by the American Board of Genetic Counseling.
  • One year of experience as a genetic counselor or related experience.
