We seek a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Project Engineer to join our team. As part of an electrical contracting company, you can help manage various projects by supporting the preparation of Request for Proposals (RFPs), coordinating with vendors, and ordering materials. This entry-level role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in project management within the electrical contracting industry.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with RFPs: Work with the project team to prepare and review Requests for Proposals (RFPs), ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Vendor Communication: Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes, clarify technical specifications, and coordinate project timelines.
  • Procurement & Ordering: Assist with the selection and ordering of electrical materials, ensuring parts are procured on time and within budget.
  • Project Coordination: Support the project manager in coordinating project schedules, managing documentation, and tracking project progress.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain organized records of all correspondence, purchase orders, RFP submissions, and project reports.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support as needed during project planning and execution phases.
  • Quality Control: Monitor materials received and assist in ensuring they meet project specifications and quality standards.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and troubleshoot any issues related to parts availability, delivery schedules, or vendor performance.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 0-2 years of experience in project management, electrical contracting, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Familiarity with electrical systems and components is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management software.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Pay:

$50,000 - $65,000
