Your Role on the TeamPosition Summary:
Incumbent designs and builds system interfaces for clinical ADT, Results, Orders and other highly complex interface types, and provide strategic technical leadership as needed to drive projects forward. Provides input on coding standards and the overall strategy for data integration projects. Implements enhancement requests and maintains existing interfaces in our production environment. Provides interface engine and EMR upgrade support on a regular basis. Researches other technologies to provide reliable and proven solutions to integration needs.

Required Qualifications:
Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills
Positive attitude, highly motivated
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and/or combination of education and equivalent work experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently or in team setting
Ability to write clean, readable,and easily maintainable code
3 + years experience in healthcare IT, preferably in a hospital setting
Knowledge of Epic Interoperability Options
Demonstrated skill to work independently and to prioritize and manage a relative number of simultaneous requests and to work on tasks which may not be clearly defined
Experience with Epic Bridges
Strong understanding of FHIR/API/Web-Services
Extensive knowledge of the HL7 2.x messaging standard
Understanding and experience with Microsoft SQL Server
Adherence to internal coding and process standards
Strong understanding of the interface implementation process
Leadership skills to influence decisions and move initiatives forward
Ability to manage multiple projects of various sizes
Ability to work effectively with IT staff and users, internal and external to the organization
Ability to problem solve interface issues of various complexities
Ability to translate complex concepts to a novice level
Demonstrate appropriate customer service skills
Participate in on-call rotation to support production interfaces
Willing to work occasional evenings or weekends
Must be willing and able to work occasional weekends and evenings as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
5 + years experience in healthcare IT, preferably in a hospital setting
2 + years experience utilizing the Corepoint integration engine
Knowledge of healthcare industry standards
Understanding of CA CDPH state reporting requirements
Experience integrating with HIEs
Experience with scripting languages such as Powershell
Understanding of ITIL
Experience using Service Now in various capacities
