The Systems Trainer provides direct systems training to current and new personnel, for implementation, and to meet on-going training needs.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assists in the development of curriculum, training plans, and teaching Electronic Health Record (EHR) applications.
  • Assists in the development of skills assessment programs for the EHR system.
  • Evaluates the results of the skills assessment and observations to review and revise training as needed.
  • Provides employee education based on assessment of learning needs by the Systems Trainer (EHR Applications).
  • Coordinates logistics associated with training delivery preparation activities such as copying and assembling printed materials, set-up, maintenance of training rooms, equipment preparation, post training, clean-up, etc.
  • Conducts training, on-going training, and upgrade/functionality enhancement training.
  • Communicates changes and enhancements of the EHR to the end users.
  • Independently leads ongoing training and acts as the primary support of the EHR.
  • Assists with application support testing/training activities as directed.
  • Facilitates personalization labs for providers or other attendees.
  • Functions effectively in a Matrix Management environment.
  • Completes any duties and special assignments as requested.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Current EpicCare Ambulatory Certification preferred.
  • Current Epic Cadence/Prelude Certification preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalency.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Training/Teaching Experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient and employee information.
  • Knowledge of basic office equipment, Microsoft Office, and practice management systems.
  • Self-motivated and detail oriented skills are required.
  • Public speaking experience.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Leadership and problem solving skills.
  • Adaptable and flexible.
  • Computer Proficiency.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • May include standing, sitting, and/or walking for extended periods

  • May include working on a special schedule (i.e. evenings and weekends when necessary)
  • May include lifting up to 25 pounds
