Job Description

The Health & Safety Coordinator will provide first line medical interaction and assistance with team members for injuries and illnesses in the workplace. Maintain medical filing and databases in support of McWane compliance standards and records retention policies. Provide support to operations in the Health and Safety department with direction of the site RN (Registered Nurse)

Administrative duties: answering telephones, greeting team members, updating medical records, filling out forms, handling correspondence, and computer entry.

• Any scheduling tasks as needed.

• Perform routine tasks and procedures such as measuring team member vital signs (glucose, blood pressure, temperature, etc.), recording information in medical records, preparing and handling medical instruments and supplies, and collecting and preparing specimens of bodily fluids and tissues for laboratory testing.

• Enter team member visit notes, testing, etc. into the Cority System.

• Assists with treatments and emergencies with direction of the site Registered Nurse.

Complete drug testing paperwork and collect drug test specimens.

• Dispose of contaminated/biohazard material/supplies sterilize first aid office and equipment.

• Keep clinic area neat and clean.

• Obtain team member information and maintain patient confidentiality by completing and safeguarding medical records and keeping patient information confidential.

• Keep medical supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.

• Adhere to Amerex professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.

• Update and maintain WEB based documents per corporate requirements including Cority and SharePoint

Qualifications:
Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent required.

• Medical Assistant (MA) or EMT preferred. Medical/office administration experience preferred.

• Familiarity with OSHA regulations

• Must complete required training including but not limited to: Inspections, Incident Investigation, First Responder, CPR/AED and Blood borne Pathogens.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, proficiency in written and verbal communication with good spelling and grammar.

• High degree of attention to detail; demonstrates accuracy and self-directed.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Cority software systems preferred.
