With more than 40 employees and projects ranging from single sign installations to hundreds of signs at a single location, we design, manufacture, and install custom signage for our clients throughout Colorado.


Position Summary:

*PLEASE NOTE this is an in-person position based in Loveland, Colorado)* We are actively looking for a Purchasing Agent who is self-sufficient, sharp-minded, and a quick learner. As a Purchasing Agent with Schlosser Signs, you will be responsible for purchasing finished products, materials and services used in the production, installation and service of custom signs of various types. This position involves sourcing and assessing suppliers, building and maintaining vendor relationships, negotiating contracts and pricing as well as shipping coordination, receiving, and collaboration with internal stakeholders. Our ideal candidate is also comfortable with order and inventory monitoring, inspecting shipments, attending weekly meetings and bid evaluation.

Compensation and Benefits:

Pay Range: $75,000-$85,000

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review requisitions, solicit bid proposals, prepare purchase orders for goods and services
  • Evaluate bids to make purchasing recommendations
  • Evaluate suppliers by considering price, quality, availability and other criteria
  • Evaluate recommendations and substitutions from suppliers
  • Build new relationships and maintain existing ones with suppliers and subs
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts and terms with vendors and subs
  • Monitor, expedite and receive orders when necessary
  • Collect receiving and packing slips and inspect shipments for quality and completeness. Resolve any shipment errors with suppliers.
  • Champion inventory, including cycle counting and quarterly inventory counts
  • Authorize payment for purchases by correctly processing receiving documents in a timely manner
  • Coordinate and manage deposits for sub-contractors and outsourced work
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, costs, delivery, product performance and inventories
  • Collect, analyze, and summarize purchasing data and trends
  • Forecast price trends, levels of demand for services and products and their impact on future activity as well as stock levels to meet business needs
  • Create ABC vendor list
  • Attend safety and company sponsored meetings as required
  • Attend production meetings and summarize action items for the attending group
  • Follow all company safety standard including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
