Must Have Experience in Manufacturing, Fixed Assets, Multi-State Taxes, and Cash
CPA Highly Preferred
NetSuite ERP Experience Highly Preferred

Must Have Leadership Experience -- the Controller will be responsible for hiring and building an Accounting Team (up to 6-7 people)

Job Details:

We are seeking an experienced and driven Accounting Leader (CPA) to join our growing organization in the manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, a strong understanding of the manufacturing industry, and a deep knowledge of financial laws and guidelines.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all company accounts and investments.
2. Create monthly and annual financial reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts.
3. Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports.
4. Supervise and manage financial department staff, including accountants and financial assistants.
5. Motivate and lead finance team members by clarifying roles and providing helpful feedback.
6. Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems, including payroll and invoicing.
7. Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
8. Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation.
9. Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.
10. Develop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports.
11. Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities.
12. Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies.
13. Create systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations.
14. Report to the CEO with timely and accurate financial information.
15. Assist the CEO in presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders, and board members.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field (MBA preferred).
2. Professional accounting designation (CPA OR CMA) or equivalent.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position with a proven track record of success.
4. Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
5. Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. NetSuite).
6. An analytical mind with a strategic ability.
7. Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
8. Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
9. Thorough knowledge of financial laws and best practices.
10. Knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
11. Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software.
12. Ability to strategize and solve problems.
13. Strong leadership and organizational skills.
14. Excellent communication and people skills.
15. An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers.
16. CPA is a strong advantage.
