Are you passionate about Building Management Systems (BMS) and creating best-in-class building environments driven by best-in-class software and solutions? Our project solutions team is seeking a dedicated a BMS Tridium Niagara - Site Reliability Engineer with a strong focus on Building Management System (BMS) software, specifically Tridium Niagara. The ideal candidate may also have some experience or exposure with SkySpark (Building Analytics Software) or Archibus (Workplace Management Software), although these are not mandatory. This role requires an individual who can set up the Tridium Niagara / Niagara Framework environment from scratch, and also monitor and enable continuous operations with the software. You'll need to troubleshoot networking and system issues, and manage both on-premises and cloud environments. We're looking for someone who has a deep level of experience and lend their subject matter expertise (SME) to the team and be the go-to support with all the BMS software requirements.

Responsibilities
- Set up and configure the Tridium Niagara BMS environment from scratch, including network protocols and firewall management.
- Design and construct Building Management System drawing packages.
- Interface Niagara Servers connected to multiple JACE installation topologies.
- Monitor the Niagara software to ensure continuous operations and system reliability using operating system diagnostics.
- Troubleshoot networking and system issues related to the BMS software, including IoT protocols like MQTT or CoAP.
- Manage both on-premises and cloud environments, ensuring scalability and resilience.
- Implement security measures to protect the BMS software, including access controls and encryption.
- Provide technical support and training to other team members, leveraging documentation and knowledge sharing.
- Build lasting relationships with customers through verbal and written communication.
- Understand empathetically the issues and perceptions others have and creatively work through these issues to achieve a successful outcome in both an individual and team environment.
Requirements
- Ability to set up, configure and debug computer and software related problems in the Tridium Niagara / Niagara Framework software.
- Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or similar role in IT, with a focus on BMS software.
- Experience with BMS systems in large enterprise buildings with multiple floors and site locations.
- A vast understanding of computer networking and configuring of systems to communicate on customers' computer networks.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic electric and electronic circuitry including reading and interpreting electrical and electronic diagrams.
- Clear ability to work with electronic equipment such as volt meters, amp meters, oscilloscopes, etc.
- A thorough understanding of HVAC applications, building services operations, and general automated controls theory within and how they interact with overall building performance.
- Niagara AX and N4 Tridium Certification are nice to have (not required)
- Familiarity with both on-premises and cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with experience in root cause analysis and incident management.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Additional Details
The base range for this contract position is $50 - $85/per hour, depending on experience.
Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
