By streamlining competing priorities and viewpoints, we aim to increase manufacturing capacity and technology adoption, boost the number of available suppliers and diversify investment into the defense industrial base.Position Summary:The Computer System Technician is an information technology (IT) professional who provides technical expertise in programming and coding. We uphold these values upon a backbone of humility driven by a culture of safety, vulnerability, and purpose.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Develop, maintain, and enhance PowerShell scripts and modules.Utilize version control systems to manage codebase.Integrate and manipulate data from various sources, including REST APIs.Apply deep knowledge of the Windows Operating System for script optimization and troubleshooting.Respond to IT support requests over the phone, via email and in person.Download, install, and configure software to meet user requirements.Maintain IT documentation including network and user details as well as corrective actions.Fix hardware issues including replacing equipment and peripherals.Ensure computer networks optimal performance.Evaluate need for new and revised systems and identifying possible improvements.Expand skills to become a functional backup to the other team members as needed.Performs other related duties as assigned.Supervisory Responsibilities:NoneRequirementsRequired Skills/Abilities:In-depth and current knowledge of computer programs and hardware.Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.Advanced collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and to coordinate assistance when appropriate.Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.Education, Certifications, and Experience:Associate or bachelors degree in computer science, information systems, or similar.At least two years experience in an IT specialist or technician role.Physical Requirements:Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times and potentially kneel, crawl or bend to address hardware issues with equipment.Travel Expectations:Expected travel: NONESummaryBlueForge Alliance provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment.
