Job Requirements / Description
Purpose
Serves as liaison between the company and the customer/agent. Required to apply technical skills and business knowledge to meet organizational objectives and provide an excellent customer service experience to our agents and customers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Communicates in a manner that develops and maintains a strong business relationship with external and internal customers
  • Adheres to email and chat guidelines and metrics to effectively service our customers. This may include meeting Chat SLA.
  • Underwrite new business auto applications and endorsements for eligibility
  • Process insured and agent requests via uploaded request within SLA
  • Meets QA and processing goals
  • Complete assigned policy suspense/tasks and other inventory within SLA
  • Process policy rewrites and backdated endorsements
  • Run and process MVR, HDR, VIN, and other underwriting reports manually, when applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with daily state filing requirements (SR22, SR26)
  • Process DMV uploads
  • Review and update Renewals, Non-Renew if ineligible
  • Document all policy transactions
  • Utilize expertise to identify areas to increase efficiency in the UW processes
  • Processes Letters of Experience
  • Expert knowledge of state products and underwriting guidelines
  • Confidently assists other underwriters and customer experience team
  • Effectively communicate with agents and insureds through verbal and/or written means
  • Complete special projects in a timely manner as instructed by supervisor
  • Assists and completes DOI/BBB responses
  • Proactively pursue departmental goals and objectives
  • Assists in taking agent chats, when necessary.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience with Property/Casualty underwriting or similarly related work experience.
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Multitasker, able to switch between tasks quickly and efficiently
  • Ability to work independently or on a team
  • Ability to be objective and make good decisions based on experience

Preferred Skills
Insurance experience
Bilingual preferred
P&C Producer License a plus
Demonstrates well-developed computer skills (internet, email, word processing, spreadsheets, hardware, typing)
Strong time management and decision-making skills
Passion for achieving team-centered goals and objectives
Ability to meet and manage multiple objectives simultaneously
