They execute commitment and recommitment evaluations as assigned, contributing to the overall support and well-being of their clients.Key ResponsibilitiesProvides individual and group psychotherapy, offering age-appropriate care and treatment while developing and updating bio-psychosocial assessments and treatment plans.Coordinates discharge planning meetings, implements effective interventions to overcome discharge barriers, and supports families through psychoeducation and family support groups to enhance understanding of mental illness complexities.Conducts commitment and recommitment evaluations, offering crisis intervention using a trauma-informed approach, and provides training and supervision for clinical staff and social work students.Actively participates in Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with medical record documentation standards, state statutes, and hospital policies, while fostering strong and effective relationships with staff members.Represents patients' clinical needs in community meetings and treatment team gatherings, contributing to a comprehensive approach to patient care and well-being.Qualifications & RequirementsEducationMaster’s Degree and Licensure in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling is required.Experience(2) years of experience with the severe and persistent mentally ill is preferred.Licenses/CertificationsLicensed Professional Social Worker; LCSW, LICSW or LMHC preferred.
