The Dynamic Instrumentation / Live Debugging team is building an exciting, brand new product that helps developers quickly troubleshoot and diagnose bugs and performance issues in complex distributed systems - bringing code-level observability into the hands of every developer. We're investing heavily in experiences that allow developers to dynamically instrument their applications and perform live debugging, in production, with the smallest possible performance overhead and rock-solid reliability.

As a Senior Product Manager for Dynamic Instrumentation, you will be working with a team of talented engineers to create innovative tools that use production observability data to help developers quickly diagnose and fix bugs and performance issues in their business-critical services.

What You'll Do:

  • Work closely with engineering to define potential instrumentation and debugging features and verify their technical viability.
  • Validate new feature ideas with customers to ensure they can be successfully adopted.
  • Collaborate with other Product teams to integrate new experiences into existing Datadog products to maximize discoverability and adoption.
  • Partner with marketing and cross functional teams including sales, customer success, support teams and your own engineering team, to define Go-To-Market plans and strategy for AI Code Insights.

Who You Are:

  • You have 6+ years of experience as a Product Manager (ideally working on an Observability or developer-focused SaaS product).
  • You have either worked as an engineer previously or possess a deep interest, understanding and knowledge in software development and/or Observability.
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the willingness to present and defend your ideas to technical stakeholders and executives alike.
  • You are customer focused with high quality standards for your products.
  • You are passionate to work in a high growth and impact environment to build new products and scaling existing ones.
  • Bonus: You are passionate about Observability technologies and like to work hands-on to understand their capabilities and limitations.
