Job Responsibilities Work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment as an integral member of a professional Contracts Department. Review, draft, negotiate, and administer a wide variety of Creare contracts with outside entities (government agencies, industry customer, consultants, subcontractors, vendors, etc.). Identify contractual risks to Creare management and take necessary actions to mitigate. Effectively and tactfully communicate, negotiate, and coordinate with internal staff and external entities to meet overall contract and business objectives and ensure favorable terms and conditions are established. Review and ensure proposal compliance with RFP requirements and contribute to accurate cost proposal preparation. Document policies and procedures and lead projects related to Contracts Department functions.The following skills and attributes are essential:Critical thinking, including devising creative solutions to resolve new and unexpected issues/uncertain situations.Attention to detail, accuracy, and fastidious organization.Excellent oral and written communication skills, including appropriate delegation to and teaming with Contracts Department staff, project engineers, purchasing and accounting staff, other managers, senior corporate management, and contractual counterparties.Ability to flexibly prioritize and re-prioritize as needed.Strong working knowledge and skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.Commitment to continuous improvement and efficiency.Knowledge of risk management, intellectual property, database management, and familiarity with ERP systems are a plus. Much of Creares business is with the federal government, so experience with government contracting and the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) would be another plus.Professional Requirements Bachelors degree and 5 years of relevant experience (or equivalent) is required. An MBA, law degree, paralegal degree, or functionally equivalent professional experience is preferred.
