What the job involves

In this role, you will play a critical role in improving our perception systems by leveraging the power of machine learning. You will be responsible for analyzing data generated by our perception algorithms to gain insights, identify areas for improvement, and develop innovative solutions to enhance our decision-making capabilities.

Responsibilities

  1. Access and query databases to create targeted datasets for analysis.
  2. Analyze data to identify performance bottlenecks and potential issues with current perception solutions.
  3. Develop and implement custom data models and machine learning algorithms to optimize our decision-making pipelines.
  4. Collaborate with cloud and device engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and monitoring of deployed models.
  5. Effectively communicate findings and insights to the broader company through clear and compelling data visualizations.
  6. Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in machine learning, particularly within computer vision and deep learning.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Computer Vision, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Strong foundation in data science and traditional machine learning algorithms (SVM, Random Forest, etc.).
  3. Proficiency in Python and Pandas. Experience with C++ or Go is a plus.
  4. Experience with SQL and database access tools.
  5. Working knowledge of computer vision and deep learning concepts.
  6. Proven problem-solving skills with a focus on product development and data-driven improvement.
  7. A self-starter with a strong desire to delve into complex datasets and uncover actionable insights.
  8. Experience working with geospatial data is a plus.

Compensation Range: $120K - $150K
