Summary of Job Duties:The Web Content and SEO Intern will work with the Digital Design and Development Manager, Digital Content Specialist, and the marketing and communications team to create and optimize web content for the Sam M. Walton College of Business. This role is essential in ensuring that all content is SEO-friendly and enhances the user experience across our digital platforms.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current student at sophomore level or above at the University of Arkansas pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising/PR, or a related field, with at least one year of experience in digital media or content creation

OR

  • Current student at sophomore level or above at the University of Arkansas pursuing any degree but with a minimum of two years of demonstrated experience in content creation or digital media

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience writing and editing web content with a focus on SEO best practices

  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and web publishing tools

  • Knowledge of graphic design principles and experience with image editing is a plus

  • Basic understanding of user experience (UX) principles

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written, visual)

  • Ability to create engaging and SEO-friendly content

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
