POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for configuration and administration of the company’s technical infrastructure. In addition, provides second level support for the IT Helpdesk personnel as needed to triage and resolve end user technical issues. Works directly with technology department management regarding ongoing technology refresh strategy and upgrades.

Essential Functions:

  • Administer and manage Azure cloud services, including virtual networks, storage, security configurations, and related sources.
  • Configure, manage, and optimize backup solutions, including setting up backup schedules, performing regular data integrity checks, and ensuring successful recovery using Veeam, Axcient, and Pure Storage technologies.
  • Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to develop and enforce network policies and procedures.
  • Perform regular network assessments and audits to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff.
  • Stay current with industry trends and technologies to enhance network performance and security.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in network engineering, cloud engineering, or system administration; additional years’ experience or certifications may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. CCNA, CCNP, Azure) are a plus.
  • Proven experience deploying and maintaining Azure services in a production environment, including Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, NSGs, Virtual Network Gateways, Entra ID, and Intune.
  • Strong understanding of network fundamentals, including topologies, protocols, switching, routing, and DNS.
  • Proficiency in Veeam, Axcient, and Pure Storage backup technologies.
  • Ability to research and solve problems independently with minimal guidance.
  • Willingness to work in a small team environment and provide support across departments as needed.
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting VPN, Intrusion Detection and Prevention, Access Control Policies, URL Filtering and overall familiarity with Next-Generation Firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet) preferred.
  • Experience in administering Exchange 365, Microsoft Defender, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions a plus.
  • Must be able to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing or walking.

Note: One remote workday per week is permitted, to be coordinated with the team for alignment. Additional remote days may be available depending on weather conditions or holidays.
