Position Summary
Responsible for administrative duties involved in carrying out the activities of the Land or Midstream Department. Under general supervision, provide routine support to assist the Landmen. Duties include but are not limited to, data gathering, research, preparing various reports, and maintenance of records and documents. Build positive relationships with internal departments to ensure an open flow of communication and information.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Update and maintain various daily reports to monitor and track budget, well and lease information, elections, proposals, and Broker activity.
  • Obtain data related to land activities from Brokers, external and internal sources, etc. to prepare, analyze, and distribute various management reports.
  • Correspond with mineral owners and working interest partners to address questions or concerns.
  • Communicate with Brokers, royalty and surface owners, and well partners to obtain necessary information.
  • Maintain and organize departmental calendars to track deadlines and meetings.
  • Maintain and organize departmental well files, land agreements, and electronic files on the Land Network to ensure accuracy.
  • Analyze, review, and understand leases for restrictions and terms for general questions or issues that arise.
  • Calculate Working Interest (WI) and Net Revenue Interest (NRI) ownership for wells.
  • Coordinate, organize, and analyze Land information with other team members to foster communication and build partnerships.
  • Review, code, and submit Land invoices for approval.
  • Obtain signatures from management for Land Agreements.

Qualifications
Required Education, Experience, Licensure
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Paralegal studies or certification.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including MS Outlook, Excel, etc., and basic knowledge of Adobe.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to manage information with accuracy and good attention to detail.
  • Good analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and compile reports.
  • Good time management and organizational skills. Able to prioritize work in order to meet established deadlines.
  • Able to multi-task and manage changing priorities.
  • Ability to be self-motivated and work independently with general supervision while maintaining goals and tasks.
  • Good collaborative and interpersonal skills. Able to help, support, and work effectively within a team to foster teamwork.
  • Able to understand and adhere to processes and procedures. Identify and offer suggestions to improve processes.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Functions as an individual contributor with no supervisory responsibilities.
