Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Mid-Level Systems Engineer to join our team onsite in Bethesda, MD. The ideal candidate will have experience in systems engineering, infrastructure design, and support, with a drive for continuous learning and improvement. Responsibilities

    Assist in the development, design, and upgrade of infrastructure platforms to support business needs.
  • Perform testing and validation to ensure infrastructure platforms meet specified requirements and performance standards.
  • Integrate new or upgraded infrastructure platforms into the existing environment to support seamless functionality.
  • Provide support for eVault, ensuring backup and archival processes are efficient and reliable.
  • Assist in managing MS Exchange environments to maintain secure and functional email services.
  • Support MS SQL databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and performance.
  • Document build and configuration processes to support consistency and repeatability.
  • Maintain records of testing procedures and deployment processes.
  • Follow established SDLC processes to support consistency and quality.
  • Work on requirements management, ensuring they are clearly defined and documented.
  • Participate in project planning to support timely completion within budget.
  • Implement basic quality assurance practices to support high standards
  • Use metrics and testing to help monitor and improve performance.
  • Assist in ensuring infrastructure platforms are certified and verified according to standards.
  • Support security planning and implementation efforts for infrastructure platforms.
  • Collaborate with system administrators and stakeholders for implementing new platforms or upgrades.
  • Provide day-to-day support for infrastructure platforms in pre-production and production environments.
  • Assist in troubleshooting complex technical issues, providing support to system administrators.
  • Coordinate with vendors as needed to resolve troubleshooting issues

Qualifications

Required

  • Four (4) years of relevant experience in systems engineering or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a Public Trust
  • One or more of the following certifications (IAT II):
    CCNA-Security
    CySA+ **
    GICSP
    GSEC
    Security+ CE
    CND
    SSCP

Preferred

  • Previous federal consulting experience
