Reports to: Nurse Coordinator/School Principal
General Summary: To assist the Nurse Coordinator/School Nurses in carrying out the Health Services Program efficiently and thoroughly, thereby minimizing absence due to illness.

General Summary: To assist the Nurse Coordinator/School Nurses in carrying out the Health Services Program efficiently and thoroughly, thereby minimizing absence due to illness.
Essential Functions:
- Assists the Nurse Coordinator/School Nurses in coordinating the Health Services Program
- Performs First Aid and notifies parents, if necessary
- Records illnesses and injuries on SchoolCare EHR: completes accident reports as appropriate
- Records screening results on SchoolCare as directed by the Nurse Coordinator
- Delivers medication to students once they have completed training by the Nurse Coordinator
- Maintains inventory of medical supplies
- Files student health-related notes
- Informs the Principal/Nurse Coordinator of unusual situations
- Performs other reasonably related duties as directed by the Nurse Coordinator
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple activities to meet deadlines under time constraints
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing sufficient to express ideas,
- Must comply with relevant state and federal laws, including reporting of child abuse and neglect. Maintains confidentiality
- Comprehensive knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration, including but not limited to, management principles and practices, conflict resolution, team building with staff
- Ability to collaborate effectively on inter- and intra-agency levels
- Knowledge and experience with computer software and systems
- Exhibits patience, courtesy, respect, ethical conduct, and tact when dealing with all people
- Ability to drive a car
Required:
- Education - High School Diploma/GED
- Certification in CPR and First Aid
- Health Services background (CNA or CMA preferred)
- Student/people oriented
