About the Role:
Were on the hunt for a seasoned Senior Principal Electrical Engineer to lead a talented team in hardware engineering. This role focuses on design, analysis, testing, and integration of digital electronic modules, FPGAs, and CCAs for Department of Defense applications. You'll be the subject matter expert in circuit card design, FPGA, and embedded systems, working in a fast-paced environment that requires strategic leadership and technical expertise.
Your Mission:

  • Leadership & Team Management: Guide a multi-disciplinary team in design activities, engineering drawings, model development, product integration, and testing.
  • Project Execution: Drive engineering projects to completion, ensuring alignment with milestones and delivering successful results.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Lead independent reviews, establish best practices, and contribute to strategic capability growth.
  • Engineering Processes: Enhance and follow established hardware engineering procedures, performing thorough design and peer reviews.
  • Testing Oversight: Direct design verification and qualification testing events to ensure optimal product performance.
  • Technical Innovation: Contribute to bid approaches and proposals by developing technical solutions for project pursuits.
Core Competencies:
  • Expertise in electrical circuit design, schematic capture, embedded firmware, and full-stack development.
  • Advanced skills in embedded design (C, Assembly, RTOS, Driver development, and version control).
  • Strong understanding of machine learning hardware development, model optimization, and ML algorithms.
  • Proficient in FPGA and SoC development using platforms like Xilinx and Microchip.
What You Bring:
  • Education: Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or EET (Masters or PhD preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum of 12 years in engineering design with 8+ years in FPGA and embedded development.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in circuit design, electrical analysis, and embedded test techniques.
  • Skills: Leadership, customer focus, self-motivation, and exceptional communication.
Schedule & Shift Details:
  • Work Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.

Security Clearance: This position requires US citizenship due to federal contractual requirements.
