Job Description:Essential Job Functions:Conducts correspondence related to client requests for informationEvaluates available information to validate claimsVerifies contract information, effective dates, status and verification of claim eligibilityIdentifies need for additional informationContacts appropriate source to obtain needed informationVerifies beneficiary or claimant information if claim is warrantedIdentifies payment amount and obtains required management approvals for paymentProcesses paymentInvestigates moderate to highly complex claims and determines level or resolution if appropriate; advises claimant of status; assists in negotiating settlement and resolution of claimReceives demand letters; researches and investigates claims, responds within individual parameters and escalates as appropriateMandatory Qualifications:High school diploma or G.E.D.3+ years of insurance/claims processing experienceExperience working with insurance and/or medical terminologyExperience working with financial software packagesExperience working with appropriate claims processing procedures and documentationExperience with Microsoft Office SuiteGood interpersonal skills to interact with team membersPosition requires great communication skills to communicate with clientsPosition requires negotiation skills to interact with claimantGood analytical and problem solving skillsAbility to keep sensitive and confidential material privateAbility to work in a team environmentOther Qualifications:Fellowship of Life Health Claims (FLHC) Certification is preferredPowerBi knowledge is desiredWork Environment:Home office, remote workRemote only within USApplicants for employment in the US must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United StatesCompensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $35,000 - $65,000.Full-time hires are eligible to participate in the DXC benefit program.
