The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing the commercialization process for Ascend Wellness Holdings' product portfolio from innovation pipeline and initiation to launch, marketing support plans, and post-mortem review, as well as other key cross-functional and marketing-specific projects. As a Sr. Project Manager, you will lead teams to deliver projects that span across multiple business units, including a dual portfolio of product category innovation initiatives and regional market expansion projects, and ensure successful and on-time project delivery. You will be responsible for the complete lifecycle of your projects, including managing resources, schedules, financials, issues & risks, and for the adherence to stage-gate principles. You will also contribute to process improvement initiatives as they relate to improving project delivery. The ideal candidate will have a blend of experience working in fast-paced, visible roles with a focus on process execution, impeccable communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work within deadlines and budgets. Your ability to coordinate across departments, partner with various levels of stakeholders, and properly leverage the talents of many employees is paramount. The ideal candidate will feel comfortable working on a myriad of projects at once while alternating between market details and corporate strategic initiatives.

Location: Remote with 25-50% travel expectation: Strong preference to candidates located in or near our states of operation: IL, NJ, MA, OH, PA, MI, MD.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Build and manage project timelines by collaborating with cross-functional teams across Product Development, Cultivation, Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Finance, to commercialize new products, ensuring effective speed to market.
- Participate in establishing practices, processes, tools, and partnerships to expand and mature the PM capabilities for the organization.
- Demonstrate an acumen of your markets' operations and your categories' technical aspects to support how solutions will address project goals.
- Develop and deliver appropriate and effective progress reports, proposals, and presentations to various audiences including project team, sponsors, executive leadership, and key stakeholders.
- Ownership of the full project life cycle to ensure successful project delivery which will consist of full implementation from initiation to launch for multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Review current project timelines, understand team needs and pain points, and improve timeline structure. Ensure that cross-functional partners understand their role in the timeline so that they can deliver on key milestones. Proactively raise issues, delays, and risks and work with the team to resolve, escalating in a timely manner if needed.
- Continue professional development to keep abreast of emerging industry trends and technologies, and PM methods and best practices.
- Create and run effective team project meetings. Review current team project meetings and determine the best cadence and attendees to keep the team on the same page without wasting time. Create a clear purpose, agenda, and next steps for project meetings.
- Lead cross-functional teams in the effective execution of integrated programs and tactics across multiple departments, solving issues within the project parameters using creative solutions.
- Define, manage, and mitigate risks on projects, taking a proactive approach to solve any issues before they come up, or manage as they arise. Lead project teams by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhere to their responsibilities, and execute project milestones.
- Ensure that the PM team is equipped with the right tools and resources to stay motivated, accountable, and highly engaged through directions, mentorship, and recognition.
- Own continuous process implementation and improvement to set the team up for success today, tomorrow, and in the future. Always look out for ways to make the team more effective and efficient. Help build practices that can scale with the team.
- Build and maintain strong relationships. Collaborate with cross-functional partners to bring products and marketing programs to market together successfully as a team. Feel empowered to hold team members accountable. Partner with project leads to keep the team motivated and on track.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required in engineering, supply chain, or related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years project management experience in consumer packaged goods. PMP certification highly desirable.
- Must be a quick learner that can adapt to an ever-changing environment.
- Cannabis industry experience highly desirable.
- Operational or engineering experience preferred.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Microsoft Project or similar tracking tools.
- High degree of emotional intelligence to effectively deal with diverse clients and teams.
- Self-motivated, decisive, innovative, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands.
- Experience managing multiple projects concurrently.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, start-up environment with shifting priorities.
- Experience managing multiple layers of personal relationships and working across departments and levels of the organization (including senior leadership).
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to guide diverse teams to consensus.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Experience with Monday.com and BrandFolder preferred.
- Travel required: 25% to approximately 50% of the time.

AWH offers a comprehensive compensation package for this role that includes base salary, bonus opportunity, and flexible time off. The anticipated base salary range for this role is $90,000-$110,000.
