Cytogenetic Education Specialist
- Permanent full-time position
- Shift: Monday-Friday, 12:30pm-9:00pm
- Job Duties
- Performs sample set up, harvesting, slide preparation and staining, microscopic analysis, photography, karyotyping and performs FISH analysis. Assures integrity of the specimens during all phases of specimen processing.
- Expected to provide education and support to the laboratory including both students completing clinical rotations and laboratory teammates. Provides direct support in the creation of educational curriculum and works in collaboration with the system lab leaders, program chairs, and laboratory staff.
- Requirements
- Bachelor s Degree required (biology, science)
- At least two years prior experience in a laboratory setting as a Cytogenetic Technician
- Must be ASCP (CG) certified
- Teaching experience preferred
