- The Senior Property Accountant will have the following responsibilities:
- Responsible for general accounting functions for multiple commercial properties within our portfolio.
- Performing monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings of general ledger in accordance with GAAP.
- Preparing all work papers and variance analyses for assigned properties.
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements as required by specific management or lender agreements.
- Preparing straight-line schedules pursuant to lease agreements.
- Preparing amortization schedules pursuant to loan agreements.
- Reviewing expense funding requests and all invoices for proper GL classification and sufficient supports.
- Capital expenditures lender reserve draw requests
- Reviewing monthly reports
- Prepare and Review annual operating expense/CAM reconciliations.
- Prepare and Review annual property budgets.
- Prepare for and assist with annual audit processes
- Prepare annual 1099’s
- Interfacing with property management and property
- Special projects as assigned

Property Accountant Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of commercial real estate (Commercial Office, Retail, Industrial) property accounting experience required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Good knowledge of GAAP.
- Computer Experience:
- Strong working knowledge of Excel.
- Experience with Real Estate Management software such as MRI, Skyline or Yardi preferred
- Solid understanding of leases, amendments, CAM and budgeting required.
