Senior Network Analyst

The pay for this position ranges from $100,000 - $113,000.

Overview

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Network Analyst to join our Global Infrastructure team to design, implement, and maintain FuelCell Energy’s network & communications infrastructure. The candidate will ensure consistent, dependable, and secure network performance across all FuelCell Energy facilities around the world.

Responsibilities:

1. Create a network systems and services roadmap to ensure consistent, reliable, and secure network performance within and between all company facilities, including the company’s Azure Cloud environment.
2. Lead the implementation, maintenance, and support of network technologies and services, including ISP Connectivity, Voice over IP, Azure Services, Firewalls, Switches, and Wireless Access Points.
3. Monitor and analyze network performance, proactively act on improvement opportunities, and address potential performance issues.
4. Closely collaborate with IT counterparts to ensure team awareness and knowledge of network systems and services through documentation, coaching, and daily interaction.
5. Contribute to the company’s overall information systems and security architecture strategy and design.
6. Contribute to and sometimes lead infrastructure and security projects that rely on network services.
7. Provide second level support as needed to resolve connectivity and infrastructure-related issues.
8. Assist in designing and maintaining disaster recovery plans.
9. Document and perform change control activities.
10. Develop and maintain documentation of network configurations, processes, and procedures.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in information technology, engineering, or related discipline. Extensive experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Certifications: CCNP, CCIE certifications, Comptia Network+ highly desired.

Experience: Five to ten years of experience in network administration, spanning IT and OT network environments.

Candidate must have demonstrable knowledge/experience in:

1. Network design and implementation skills across LAN, WAN, and Cloud environments.
2. Hands-on expertise in configuring firewalls, switches, wireless access points, DNS, DHCP, and other network services.
3. Experience in designing and deploying secure network architectures.
4. Expertise in secure network protocols, routing, and switching.
5. Solid understanding of Security standards, such as NIST, and how they influence network and network services designs.
6. Excellent communication skills with the ability to create clear documentation and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
8. Proven track record of planning and managing complex technical projects.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

1. General work is in office, manufacturing, and warehouse environments utilizing a computer and other office equipment.
2. Be able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as designated, such as safety glasses, safety shoes, hard hats, and other PPE as required.
3. Ability to work in a confined space when required.
