A leading law firm is seeking a Senior Associate Attorney to join their Emerging Companies & Venture Capital group in New York City. This role involves advising innovative companies and their founders throughout their business lifecycle, including business formation, financing transactions, and mergers and acquisitions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in venture capital and startup transactions, with a strong ability to manage client relationships and work in a collaborative environment.
Duties
- Represent emerging companies and founders on business formation, venture capital financings, and mergers and acquisitions.
- Advise venture capital funds on investments in innovative companies at various growth stages.
- Manage complex transactions and coordinate with both internal and external clients and counsel.
- Build and maintain client relationships, providing strategic legal counsel throughout the business lifecycle.
- Collaborate with experienced practitioners on sophisticated national-level matters.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in venture capital, emerging companies, or related corporate transactions.
- Experience in handling complex financing and M&A transactions.
- Strong skills in managing client and counsel relationships.
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
Certifications
- Active admission to the New York State Bar.
Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
