Position Overview:

The Systems Engineer will be responsible for overseeing design, development, test, and debugging of hardware, firmware, and cloud software systems. This role requires a versatile engineer with expertise across technical and business domains, with the ability to troubleshoot issues, including Linux environments, power electronics, Bluetooth/WiFi IoT devices, and backend cloud services.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. System Design & Development: Oversees the design and manufacturing teams to develop, test, and implement hardware and firmware for SoC and WiFi based EV Smart Outlet & Charging products. Engages in electrical design reviews, providing expertise in validation and verification activities.
  2. Debugging & Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues across hardware, firmware, and cloud software platforms. Debug electrical hardware to evaluate and demonstrate new technologies at both bench-level and system-level. Conduct test plan development and debug analyses to identify and solve system-wide problems.
  3. Integration & Collaboration: Work with Standards, Regulatory, and Quality teams to establish and maintain release and development processes. Collaborate cross-functionally, including with manufacturing and test engineering to ensure high-quality product manufacturability.
  4. Project Management: Execute projects from inception to completion across multiple disciplines. Develop detailed module-level feature definitions and functional requirements in collaboration with feature architects and module owners.
  5. Customer & Documentation Support: Occasionally act as a point of contact for engineering issues, assisting in resolving customer problems both online and in the field. Develop and maintain technical documents and procedures to support engineering and customer service teams.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in systems engineering, hardware design, and Linux/firmware environments.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of ARM/SoC-based architectures, bus interfaces, peripherals (WiFi, BT, Memory, USB, etc.), and PMIC architecture and interfaces.
  • Manage hardware and embedded-Linux firmware test plans and test results documentation.
  • Deep understanding of power systems, Bluetooth/WiFi technologies, and backend cloud services.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and team-building skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge and experience in Systems Engineering or Systems Thinking.
  • Experience designing system architecture and hardware integration.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
