Job Description: Medical Biller
Location: Downtown Chicago, IL
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM
Summary:
LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a client in downtown Chicago seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join their team! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in reimbursement processes, and appeals/denials management, with experience handling both Medicare and commercial insurance claims.
Key Responsibilities:
Claims Management: Follow up on insurance claims to ensure timely reimbursement.
Appeals and Denials: Analyze denied claims, prepare appeal letters, and provide necessary documentation to resolve denials.
Reimbursement: Track and manage reimbursements, ensuring all payments are received and correctly applied.
Compliance: Ensure all billing activities comply with industry regulations and standards, including HIPAA.
Communication: Liaise with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and patients to resolve billing issues and answer any inquiries.
Reporting: Generate and analyze billing reports to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical billing, with specific experience in handling Medicare and commercial insurance claims.
Skills:
Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Strong understanding of medical terminology, ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $24.00 per hour
