Florida Institute of Technology is currently searching for a Behavior Technician for The Scott Center for Autism Treatment. This is a full-time position.
Primarily responsible for the direct implementation of skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction plans developed by the supervisor (BCBA). Provides support and training to graduate and undergraduate interns and practicum students. Some travel may be required.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work directly with clients and trainees (graduate practicum students; undergraduate interns) as assigned for 30 hours per week. 10 hours per week for indirect work related to client programming, including graphing, writing treatment notes and reports
  • Work across additional settings (home, schools, community) may be required for client progress
  • Parent training
  • Billing and Electronic Health Records (EHR) reconciliations
  • Assist with individualized assessment procedures (e.g. VB-MAPP), assist with social skills groups, or other program areas as assigned
  • Additional duties as assigned
Education/Skills required:
  • High school diploma
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Successfully complete a criminal background registry check at the time of application (within 45 days of submitting application)
  • Complete a 40-hr training program (to meet basic competency to work with a client) provided by the agency
  • Pass the RBT exam delivered through the BACB
  • Experience with young children and children with developmental disabilities including ASD preferred

Annual Security & Fire Safety Report
The federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act) requires colleges and universities, both public and private, participating in federal student aid programs to disclose campus safety information and impose certain basic requirements for handling incidents of sexual violence and emergency situations.
Florida Tech's 2024 Annual Security and Fire Safety Report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus, in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by Florida Tech, and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from, the campus.
The numbers provided include crime statistics reported to local law enforcement agencies, campus security and other Campus Security Authorities.
The report also includes institutional policy statements regarding campus safety and security measures, descriptions of prevention and awareness programs, related university procedures and important guidance, and other essential safety information.
