Overview: As a Senior Data Engineer, you play a pivotal role in spearheading the development and maintenance of robust, scalable data infrastructure crucial for delivering actionable insights through big data analysis. Your expertise in cutting-edge technologies and your ability to craft innovative solutions will drive our organization's success in leveraging data-driven strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and maintain high-performance data stores to cater to the demands of sophisticated business analytics.
- Apply advanced consulting skills and industry knowledge to solve intricate problems, often providing guidance and mentorship to team members.
- Independently work on complex projects, ensuring the seamless integration of data pipelines using modern Big Data ETL technologies like NiFi or StreamSets.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to establish and optimize data processes within a big data and cloud environment, leveraging tools like SQL, Spark, and ETL methodologies.
- Document and implement data solutions on AWS platforms such as EC2, S3, and RDS, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency.
- Active Secret clearance.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with SQL, showcasing a deep understanding of database management.
- Proficiency (4+ years) in developing data pipelines using modern Big Data ETL technologies (e.g., NiFi, StreamSets).
- Extensive (4+ years) programming experience in Python or Java, with a track record of delivering robust solutions.
- Strong background (4 years) in working within big data and cloud environments, demonstrating expertise in distributed computing and technologies such as SQL, Spark, and ETL.
- Documented experience in implementing solutions on AWS, including EC2, S3, and/or RDS.
- 2 years of experience working in an agile development environment, showcasing adaptability and collaborative prowess.
- Ability to swiftly grasp technical concepts and effectively communicate with diverse functional groups.
- Exhibit a proactive and optimistic attitude toward problem-solving, thriving in overcoming future challenges.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
- Prior exposure to relevant command structures, with a keen understanding of analytical and data challenges across the J-Codes.
