The Client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of IT, PMO to lead and mature our Project Management Office. This individual will manage a team of 3 US-based Project Managers and Business Analysts (PM/BA) as well as an offshore QA team. The Director of PMO will be responsible for developing and driving the implementation of robust project management practices to support the development of our internal products and enhance overall project delivery.
The ideal candidate will be a seasoned PMO leader with 15+ years of experience in project management and leadership roles. They should have a proven track record of success in establishing and evolving project management frameworks, such as Agile and Scrum, delivering projects on time and within scope, and fostering team development. This role requires the ability to build trust with executives, clients, and team members, while ensuring that project management processes are aligned with organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of 3 US-based Project Managers and Business Analysts, and oversee an offshore QA team.
- Develop and implement PMO processes and standards for project planning, execution, and delivery, including Scrum cycles, sprints, and Agile methodologies.
- Drive change management initiatives and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business goals.
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Technology to align project execution with technical development and ensure seamless delivery of internal products.
- Establish clear KPIs for PMO performance, and regularly report progress to senior executives and stakeholders.
- Oversee and manage the full project lifecycle, ensuring that project documentation, risk management, and issue resolution processes are in place.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including executive leadership, ensuring that PMO practices meet the needs of the business.
- Design and implement training programs to upskill the PM/BA team in project management, Agile/Scrum practices, and stakeholder management.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of total experience in a Project Management leadership role, with a focus on building and managing PMOs.
- Proven experience in implementing Agile and Scrum processes, and strong knowledge of project management methodologies.
- Strong leadership, team management, and coaching skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with C-level executives and manage client relationships.
- PMP, CSM, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
