Job Requirements / Description
Summary : The Operations Director is responsible for the effective management of the warehouse operations; including shipment performance, productivity management and direct supervision of team members.

Work Hours : Monday to Friday 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Compensation: The estimated annual pay for new hires generally ranges from $155,000 to $160,000 or more, depending on experience, education level and annual bonuses.

Responsibilities:
  1. Assure all shifts and functions are properly staffed to execute varied work volume.
  2. Manage flow of orders to the floor to optimize operation for approximately 50 employees in a 200,000 square foot facility.
  3. Develop, maintain and manage facility quality process.
  4. Ensure on-time shipping performance; work closely with employees, delivery drivers and Foreman to ensure receipts and shipments meet standards.
  5. Manage daily/weekly/monthly quality and productivity reporting.
  6. Supervise realignment activities to ensure maximum optimization of the facility.
  7. Manage operational activities to ensure DC layout and continuous improvement activities support goals of the operation.
  8. Provide direct supervision to the Foreman and hold them accountable for their performance and the performance of their teams.
  9. Provide leadership, training, and supervision to 50+ team members.
  10. Continuously work towards increasing the leadership capability of the team and drive professional growth.
  11. Responsible for all facility/equipment maintenance and supplies.
  12. Maintain a safe working environment and oversee safety compliance.
  13. Perform additional duties as required and/or requested.

Minimum Requirements:
  1. Must have supervised at least 50+ team members.
  2. Must have 5 years of Distribution Center Operations experience.
  3. Familiarity utilizing mobile devices in a fast-paced work environment.
  4. Related industry experience; natural stone, tile or hard flooring industries preferred.
  5. Capable of presenting operational data to the business and leadership team.
  6. Demonstrated ability to drive cultural change while improving efficiencies and processes.
  7. Strong knowledge and understanding of Distribution and Warehouse Management applications.
  8. Bachelor’s degree and/or college coursework preferred.
  9. A minimum of 5 years of supervisory/management experience.
  10. Demonstrated leadership and managerial abilities.
  11. Goal-oriented with a proven record of self-motivation and achievements.
  12. Strong analytical skills and creativity in seeking quality solutions and process improvements.
  13. Excellent People Management and Time Management skills.
  14. Ability to conceptualize and think strategically.
