Staff Accountant

Responsibilities

• The ideal candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate preparation of financial accounting data in a variety of areas.
• Perform general accounts analysis and reconciliations, including bank statements, fixed assets, employer’s benefit costs, accruals and prepaid expenses.
• Manage the processing of cash receipts, recording of revenue and receivable and work closely with the Asst Controller to ensure that revenues and receivables are accurately recorded in the system.
• Assist with the day-to-day, monthly and year-end operations of the Accounting group including month-end close.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and any other tasks assigned by the Controller.
• Assist with year-end audit process.

Qualifications

• BS Accounting degree REQUIRED.
• 1+ years Accounting experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills required; verbal and written.
• Excellent teamwork skills (i.e. must be consistently reliable and assist others).
• Microsoft Excel - (Pivot tables, vlookups, charts, etc.).
• Detail and accuracy required; must demonstrate error free work (i.e. preparing journal entries).
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate issues to all levels of management.
