JOB DESCRIPTION:
1 This Statement of Work (SOW) outlines the roles and responsibilities of two contracted employees from Knowledge Services, who will assist in transitioning from MECM to Intune, focusing on desktop management, patch management, and policy enforcement.
2. Scope of Work:
The contracted employees will undertake the following tasks:
- Utilize their knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) settings to transition systems to Intune.
- Manage users, groups, and service accounts within the Intune environment.
- Onboard and deploy applications through Intune to devices on the network.
- Ensure proper desktop management, including the enforcement of security and operational policies.
- Perform patch management to keep all devices up-to-date with the latest security and software patches.
- Collaborate with internal IT team members to align strategies and practices.
- Provide documentation and training materials for ongoing management by staff after the completion of the contract period.
3. Key Deliverables:
- Passed background checks for both contract employees.
- Successful transition of user and group management from MECM to Intune, using settings MECM for the transition.
- Review of current application to determine the best method of onboarded of applications in Intune ready for assignment.
- Implemented patch management protocols.
- Draft training materials and documentation for IT personnel.
4. Exclusions:
Contract employees will not engage with network devices or servers. Their responsibilities are strictly limited to desktop management, policy enforcement, patch management, and application deployment via Intune.
5. Reporting and Communication:
- The contracted employees will be part of the Intune Project Team.
- Participate daily, weekly and bi-weekly meetings will be conducted to review progress and address any issues.
- Documentation of progress and meetings will be provided to on a bi-weekly basis.
6. Acceptance Criteria:
For the work to be considered complete, the following acceptance criteria must be met:
- Completion of background checks and granting of escalated privileges.
- Verified transition of settings inside MECM to Intune,.
- Established and functioning application deployment via Intune.
- Effective desktop and patch management processes in place.
- Comprehensive documentation and training resources delivered to
IT staff.
There is a need for 2 contractors for this project. They can be located at the Carson City office or Las Vegas office.
