Supply Chain Manager
Scott Humphrey has partnered with a growing and reputable construction firm looking for a Supply Chain Manager for their offices in in Miami, FL. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in construction or construction materials, with demonstrated expertise in Operations, Logistics, Procurement & Warehousing. This role is critical to ensuring the efficient flow of materials, timely delivery of projects, and overall operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives, focusing on cost reduction, efficiency, and quality improvement.
- Oversee the sourcing and procurement of construction materials, ensuring that all purchases meet quality standards, are cost-effective, and are delivered on time.
- Manage logistics operations to ensure timely and accurate delivery and receipt of materials.
- Collaborate with logistics partners and internal teams to streamline processes and resolve any delivery issues.
- Lead warehousing operations, ensuring optimal storage, inventory management, and distribution of materials. Implement best practices for warehouse safety, space utilization, and inventory accuracy.
- Coordinate with project managers and construction teams to forecast material needs, schedule deliveries, and ensure that supply chain activities support project timelines.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors. Negotiate contracts and terms to ensure the best value and service for the company.
- Lead and develop a high-performing supply chain team. Provide mentorship, training, and support to ensure team members are aligned with company goals and industry best practices.
- Ensure all supply chain activities comply with relevant regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Identify and mitigate risks associated with supply chain operations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain, leveraging data and analytics to identify opportunities for process optimization and cost savings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPIM) is a plus.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably within the construction or construction materials industry.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement, logistics, warehousing, and operations management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with supply chain management software and ERP systems.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
- Occasional travel required to suppliers, warehouses, and project sites.
