Electrical Controls Engineer

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for design origination from customer specification and scope of work. This position requires significant controls system knowledge, including multiple control platforms and applications. This position will work directly with our customer and our technicians to deliver quality controls designs. Candidate must posses applicable experience in controls engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Several years of engineering experience.
• Familiarity with Allen Bradley hardware.
• Experience in modifying, uploading, and downloading programs, design, and programming of controls using Rockwell Automation Studio 5000 and Factory Talk View, Operator interface devices, and AC/DC Drives.
• Complete knowledge of and ability to design and use ladder logic, PlantPAx objects, structured text, and function blocks.
• The candidate should be proficient with the incorporation of automated valves, flow meters, modulating control valves, thermocouples, pressure transmitters, limit switches, digital positioners, PID loops, nested control loops, HMI development, variable frequency drives, plantwide communications with other controllers.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team.

• Effective communication abilities.
• Industrial experience with electrical control systems.
