The salary range for this role is:
$107,204.09 - $192,835.28
Responsibilities:
- Manage the Production Operations of the Hanford facility to ensure that case volumes are met, quality standards are maintained, costs are achieved for both FPC and VPC budgets, and all work is performed in a safe environment. Continuously seek out opportunities to improve Plant Operations and reduce costs by utilizing technology and better work methods.
- Coordinate and direct the design, planning, construction, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings and other facilities personally or through subordinate supervisors.
- Plan, budget, and schedule facilities modifications including cost estimates, bid sheets, layouts and contracts for construction and requisitions. Inspect plant and evaluate use of space and facilities. Oversee the coordination of building space, allocation, and layout.
- Develop long range plans, conceptual designs, and capital outlay requirements and documentation for the facility. Inspect construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established specifications.
- Operations – Responsible for achieving cost, quality, safety, production output volumes, while maintaining an organization that is safe with high morale.
- Financial – Responsible for developing production’s portion of the VPC and FPC budgets, and prioritizing spending to meet financial targets. Lead the identification and elimination of losses resulting in improvements in costs, inventory, time and quality.
- Maintenance – Responsible to identify needs, establish priorities, development of the budget, allocations of resources, training of employees, and monitoring quality and productivity.
- Capital – Responsible to identify projects, costs justify and write projects for continuous improvement and plant maintenance.
- Safety – Overall responsibility for promoting a safe working environment including: housekeeping, policy enforcement, employee training, accident investigation, Cal/OSHA compliance, DMFI Safety Policy compliance, and ensuring appropriate discipline.
- Quality and Food Safety – Overall responsible for finished product quality, food safety and legality, within functional area. Maintain standards and adjust processes to meet Del Monte standards and customer expectations. Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of Del Monte Foods Quality Systems to assure compliance with quality and food safety requirements.
- Purchasing – Overall responsibility for the procurement of materials and supplies in the most cost-effective manner to meet plant production requirements.
- Employee Development – Promote communication, involve staff and employees, support staff, communicate and develop employees. Foster an environment of continuous improvement. Develop team to solve day to day operational issues and reach performance objectives.
- Corporate Assistance – Participate as needed on task forces and assignments that benefit the tomato business unit, and the Corporation.
- Environment – Responsible for plant operations environmental compliance by maintaining good housekeeping and good manufacturing practices, enforcing policies and procedures, assisting the environmental supervisor in-house training and corrective action.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science – Industrial Technology, Ag Business or related field / experience.
- Minimum 5 Years Directly Applicable Experience within a comparable Food Manufacturing environment.
- Strong Food Manufacturing leadership experience.
- Experience with tomato processing, aseptic processing, thermal processing, controls knowledge, and production planning highly desirable.
- Strong Indirect/Direct Labeling & Packaging Operations experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills for working with a range of backgrounds and interests.
- Demonstrated ability to make decisions and be self-directed.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative within general company guidelines.
- High degree of collaboration within team.
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
- Strong organizational skills with good time management.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize key projects.
