Role Description
This is a full-time or part-time on-site role for a Staff Pharmacist at Pharmacy on 8th in Wellman, IA. The Staff Pharmacist will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing drug information to patients and healthcare providers, ensuring the accuracy of prescriptions, and overseeing pharmacy technicians. The pharmacist will also have the opportunity to practice their skills in immunization, medication therapy management, and soon, point of care testing.
Qualifications
- BS Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
- Active pharmacist license in the state of Iowa
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals, dosage requirements, and drug interactions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing medications
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Experience with pharmacy software systems
- Customer service orientation and the ability to provide high-quality patient care
