Overview of Position

Reporting to the VP, Finance Transformation, the Dir, Finance Transformation is instrumental in driving and executing process improvements and automation initiatives. This individual will identify, design and implement processes, execute and lead change management activities across the Assurant enterprise Finance organization that will improve operational efficiency. This individual will partner with functional leaders in Finance, IT and other SME's to develop architecture requirements, process improvement plans, implementation programs and automation efforts to achieve the organization's goals.

What will be my responsibilities for this position?
  • Analyze current processes and partner with process owners to identify, prioritize and implement opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements within finance operations.
  • Drive the implementation of cutting-edge technologies, such as robotic process automation (RPA), artificial intelligence (AI), and data analytics, to streamline end-to-end financial processes and improve effectiveness of controls.
  • Lead the design and implementation of standardized finance processes and procedures to promote consistency and scalability across the organization.
  • Provide guidance and support to finance teams globally and partner with various stakeholders to communicate progress, solicit feedback, and drive alignment on finance transformation initiatives.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess the effectiveness of finance transformation efforts and make data-driven decisions.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in finance transformation, incorporating learnings into the organization's strategy.

Responsibility for the work of others
  • Direct leadership of a team of managers and analysts.
  • Lead an agile team of resources to be further defined and supported as this new team takes shape. Expectation is to create a high-performing team that will help develop and feed talent into the organization.

Financial Responsibility
  • Business decision support to ensure achievement of enterprise financial goals.

What are the requirements needed for this position?
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Management Information System or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting/finance/finance systems, with at least 3 years in a management role.

Other Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of finance processes, controls, and systems (preferably Oracle cloud, OFSAA, Blackline, Power BI, Alteryx).
  • Proven expertise in process optimization, automation, and change management within a global finance function.
  • Experience with large-scale technology implementations, preferably in the finance domain.
  • Attention to detail with a logical and methodical approach and good documentation skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to engage and motivate teams across geographies and functions.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a focus on driving continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage competing priorities and stakeholders.

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?
  • CPA license preferred.
  • Experience with Alteryx, Oracle cloud systems, Blackline, Microsoft Power BI, and Power Automate preferred.

Pay Range:
$116,900.00 - $195,300.00

Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
