The Office of the State Auditor (OSA) is looking for Staff Auditor II to assist with various performance audits that improve performance, strengthen accountability, and enhance transparency of state government programs.

Bachelors degree with 12 semester hours in accounting from an appropriately accredited institution and 2 years ofexperience in auditing/accounting; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

As part of our team, you will get to:
- Work as part of a team to plan and conduct audits of a diverse range of topics and programs at entities that include state agencies, universities, community colleges, licensing boards, non-profits, and private companies that contract with the state.
- Speak with auditees, agency management, and legislators to understand the programs under audit.
- Conduct on-site fieldwork, including information gathering and interviews, to determine risks impacting the program under audit and to identify processes and controls that mitigate program risks.
- Review and analyze source records and reports, programmatic data, financial and program documentation, and/or systems.
- Document the results of your work and any potential findings and recommendations.
- Intermediate or working knowledge of auditing and accounting principles and practices.
- Demonstrated ability to oversee multiple priorities.
- Demonstrated experience communicating effectively both orally and in writing.
