POSITION SUMMARY: The TMBC Power Sports Sales Lead assists the Marine Group Sales Manager in providing daily direction, including merchandise presentation, inventory control, pricing, sales enhancements, sales team training, coaching and support, and customer service experience. Additionally, the role is responsible for performing selling and customer service activities to assist Boat and ATV customers in making informed buying decisions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Supports a strong commitment to world-class customer service and ensures a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers.
  2. Engages all customers entering the department in a friendly and timely manner.
  3. Supports GSM in achievement of Sales, Gross Margin, Inventory Shrinkage, and Payroll Goals.
  4. Provides daily leadership, direction, and motivation to the Outfitters within the Department.
  5. Meets with potential customers to determine their boating or ATV needs and provides necessary information for informed buying decisions.
  6. Maintains current product knowledge using available resources.
  7. Maintains awareness of advertised items, current pricing structures, and promotions.
  8. Ensures that all Sales Consultants remain current on selling skills training and direction.
  9. Works cooperatively with the Service Department to ensure seamless delivery to the customer.
  10. Maintains confidentiality of all sensitive and personal information.
  11. Prepares the showroom each morning for proper signage and product presentation.
  12. Generates and manages leads and prospects in the provided Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool.
  13. Resolves customer and Outfitter opportunities with GSM and HR Manager.
  14. Assists the GSM with coordination of all “Special Events” and inventory integrity.
  15. Assists the GSM in carrying out Supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Company policies.
  16. Meets and exceeds individual monthly sales goals.
  17. ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  2. Years of experience: 2 – 3 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a Retail or Sales environment.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

  1. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions, and percentages.
  2. Ability to read and analyze certain reports.
  3. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
  4. Ability to conduct meetings and make presentations to small groups.
  5. Proficiency with PC-based word processing, spreadsheets, and data management systems.
  6. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills.
  7. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, Outfitters, and customers.

Regularly: Computer Work, sitting; Occasionally: Walking, standing, lifting up to 50 lbs.
