Electrical Project Engineer

Job Description
Expanding Midwest firm has a critical role for a talented Electrical Project Engineer with a focus on Roadway projects to fill in their Chicago Office!
Responsibilities:

• Perform engineering design tasks for roadway electrical projects
• Perform calculations
• Develop specifications and cost estimates
• Prepare final bid packages
• Assist in meetings and design activities
• Coordinate with local utility for service
• Assist with field data collection
• Assist with lighting assessment (including field inspections)
• Participate in construction observation/documentation of project sites
• Provide construction support (shop drawing reviews, RFI's, construction site inspection)
• Meet client expectations for quality, schedule, and budget

Requirements:

• BS Degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET accredited college and university
• 5+ years of experience
• PE License
• Experience performing roadway lighting calculations using Agi32 software
• Knowledge of Bentley Projectwise/Microstation CADD/Design Software
• Knowledge of roadway lighting design, industry standards, materials, and installation
• Proficient in Microsoft applications
• Experience working with IL Tollway (ISTHA) and Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) lighting projects preferred

Salary is commensurate with experience.
