Since spinning out of a large brokerage firm in 2016, DV Trading has rapidly scaled as an independent proprietary trading firm utilizing its own capital, trading strategies, and risk management methodologies to provide liquidity to worldwide financial markets and hedging opportunities to commodity producers and users. Now, DV group affiliates include two broker dealers, a cryptocurrency market making firm, and a bourgeoning investment adviser.

Overview

We are seeking someone with a curious mind and an entrepreneurial spirit to join one of our trading desks as a Quant Trader. This is a well-established desk trading in commodities and interest rates. The ideal candidate for this role will have exposure to interest rates, be tech-savvy, eager to learn, and have the desire to make an impact, and takes initiative. You will have the opportunity to learn from experienced traders and apply your knowledge to the desk quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Learn proprietary methodologies and trading systems within a systematic environment that support an established trading business
  • Engage in both trading execution, monitoring, and automation development work to enhance overall trading efficiency 
  • Execute quantitative research and post-trade analysis utilizing Python
  • Build and maintain trading models
  • Enhance existing trades; identify and pursue new opportunities
Requirements
  • 3+ years of on-desk trading exposure, specifically with interest rate futures
  • Possess a strong work ethic and be able to learn quickly in a fast paced, high-pressure environment
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Maintain composure and communicate clearly when under pressure
  • Ability to succeed working as part of a diversified team
  • Strong interest in trading and financial markets
  • Strong understanding of math, probability, and statistics
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and statistical modeling
  • Advanced aptitude for problem solving multitasking
