Job Description
First level management. Typically supervises one or more areas of a department. Supervises two or more professional and or support staff at work as well as their day to day activities. Typically does not have the authority to hire, fire, or promote but their input on these types of actions is highly considered. Main focus is on each employee they manage. May coordinate the business aspects of a department to include but not limited to strategy, project management, budget planning and oversight and financial operations.
Additional Job Description
A bachelor's degree and two (2) years of work experience in a large supply services or property control operation; or High School or GED and four (4) years of work experience in a large supply services or property control operation, preferably in an Academic Medical Center setting. Training and experience in a functional logistical role is highly desired. Knowledge of inventory management to include shipping and receiving, order replenishments, stocking, cycle counts, quality control checks, and inventory control. Any previous experience working with or knowledge of medical equipment services is highly desirable. Computer literate in Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to learn other department specific software programs. Valid South Carolina driver's license may be required.
