Job Description

The Collateralized Debt Obligation Group (CDO) is a division within U.S. Bank Global Corporate Trust Services, the premier CLO trustee in the industry. CDOs are structured finance vehicles that issue both debt and equity liabilities, with the proceeds being used to buy a portfolio of collateral. Typical types of collateral include syndicated bank loans, corporate bonds, asset-backed securities, mortgage-backed securities, and Mezzanine debt. The CDO Loan/Asset Administration is responsible for monitoring and maintaining pools of corporate bonds, asset-backed securities, mortgage-backed securities, and Mezzanine debt that act as collateral for CDO. This position is relied on by the Deal Administration, Analytics, and Relationship Management departments to process interest payments, principal payments, fees, and new payment information in an accurate and timely manner.

The CDO Loan/Asset Administrators research CDO Suite and bond discrepancies between portfolios using Bloomberg, DTC, and different trustee reports. The team manages bonds globally in CDO Suite and Issue Tracker to ensure accurate information is in the systems. Two primary responsibilities are booking interest/principal payments when the notes pay and monitoring/granting access to external parties to be able to view U.S. Bank’s reports. The team assists the CLO Team and the Tagging Team during high volume periods, like month end. The team offers training and includes hands-on practice. Opportunities for promotions include, but are not limited, to CDO Loan/Asset Administrator I and II, Deal Administrator, Analyst and Relationship Manager.
