As a member of the Digital Transformation and Ancillary Applications team, the Systems Administrator is part of a high-performing, innovative, agile team that delivers robust, secure, leading-edge technology. The role involves working closely with senior functional and technical team members, managing and running complex, enterprise and strategic technical projects. The Systems Administrator is a systems expert who actively participates in scoping, requirements gathering, configuration, and documentation with a focus on automation, simplification, user experience, and user experience design. Solutions leverage products such as Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, FormAssembly, Mogli, ScheduleOnce, Marketo, SUMO Scheduler, DemandTools, Five9, Knak, Zapier, and more.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Maintain day-to-day technical operations of the assigned platform and related applications, including system administration, configuration, record maintenance, data cleansing, record deduplication, report/dashboard creation, and periodic system health checks.
  2. Monitor system performance and integrations to identify issues and escalate to the proper channels for review and resolution, available during non-business hours as necessary.
  3. Research, test, troubleshoot, and participate in scheduled technical releases and upgrades.
  4. Work collaboratively with team members, core functional leaders, subject matter experts, and a variety of end users to create a sense of belonging and ownership among team members; promote mutual support and interaction.
  5. Engage the community of users by providing support, training, moderating user-generated content, creating community content, and escalating any issues to the appropriate internal teams.
  6. Work as part of an Agile team to deliver high-quality solutions, demonstrating Agile behaviors that emphasize collaboration, delivery, reflection, and improvement.
  7. Facilitate scrum and agile methodologies to the larger team, ensuring adherence to frameworks.
  8. Guide others to understand scrum and agile values, principles, and practices to ensure projects are implemented according to requirements.
  9. Create detailed work items that include user stories, acceptance criteria, tasks, assets, and test scripts.
  10. Plan and facilitate requirements sessions with stakeholders to capture business use cases, document requirements, and translate them into system specifications.
  11. Develop detailed system designs that support the system requirements, conducting technical reviews and walk-throughs of IT design documentation with development and design team members.
  12. Work in conjunction with senior team members to identify resources based on project magnitude and necessity, ensuring communication is maintained between administrators and stakeholders regarding project status and priorities.
  13. Mentor student employees/interns by sharing best practices.
  14. Attend professional meetings, workshops, conferences, and seminars to keep abreast of technological advancements.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field

Certification and Licensing: Salesforce System Administrator Certification (Preferred), Marketing Cloud Administrator (Preferred)

Experience:

  1. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, including any combination of CRM, system configuration, business analysis, project management, and process improvement (higher education business processes preferred).
  2. Any relevant education, certifications, and/or work experience may be considered.
  3. Experience working in a fast-paced environment while managing simultaneous projects.
  4. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
  5. Agile background (preferred), Scrum master experience (preferred), previous experience as a Salesforce system administrator is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes:

  1. Outstanding communication skills (written and oral), organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through.
  2. Proficient in creating documentation for complex specifications (business and technical) as well as structuring requirements documents.
  3. Working knowledge of Salesforce Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Agile Accelerator (preferred).
