Job Requirements / Description

The Maître D is the master of the guest experience. The main goal of this person is to gather, organize and disseminate the information of guests dining in the restaurant in order to tailor everyone’s individual experience. The secondary goal of the Maître is to be the foremost personality at the door, cultivating relationships with our future regulars. 

Weekly Responsibilities:

  • Analyze the weeks reservations by comparing guest information on Resy with loyalist to ensure the Resy information is up to date. 
  • Create a service guest dossier for each day. Information in the dossier includes, but is not limited to, how many times a guest has visited any of the groups restaurants, important wine/beverage order notes (e.g. they always start with a whiskey sour or they always order a chianti), important food order notes (things they hated or loved), Allergies/aversions and special occasions.
  • Print out copies of Dossier for Manager, Chef and Host teams. 
  • Print feedback reports for Manager and Chef. 
  • Attend weekly meeting to provide feedback on how to improve guest experience. 

Daily Shift Responsibilities

  • Update the dossier with the information not included in the weekly round up. 
  • Maintain awareness of availability and seatings in order to quote correct wait times. 
  • Greet guests for Heroes and Pearl Box in friendly, yet timely manner. 
  • Work with a host to ensure guests have been seated correctly.
  • Work with host to ensure the floor staff have chits for each guest in the dining room. 
  • Coordinate with Managers and service team to ensure guest important information is being updated in Resy. 
  • Maintain control of seating timing by staying in communication with the rest of the team.
  • Uphold the service standards of the restaurant by understanding the ethos and service style.
