This includes maintaining security of the institution and controlling movement within the institution in accordance with established department methods and procedures. Additionally, correctional officers role model appropriate interactions and reinforce positive behavior change among incarcerated individuals.The Department envisions a safer Idaho with fewer people in its correctional system and values integrity, respect, and positive attitude.
