Director Individual Products

Job Responsibilities

• Approving and overseeing product strategy, product development projects; monitoring progress to ensure schedule and budget goals are met and comply with regulations.
• Directing staff responsible for translating concepts into designs, and designs into products and/or services, while securing necessary resources.
• Coordinating with sales and marketing functions and other partners of the organization to ensure products and/or services meet the stated functional and quality requirements; assisting in the development of product-specific marketing initiatives.
• Monitoring competitors and peer organizations to stay abreast of emerging trends in the industry; using this information to secure the competitive position of the organization.

Job Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required. Equivalent experience is defined as 4 years of professional work experience in a corporate environment.

Experience

• 5 years - Experience in a leadership/management role required.
• 10 years - Experience in a large corporate setting and/or major consulting firm in financial services, insurance or healthcare required.

Skills/Certifications

• Analytical and decision making abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and translate technical and/or complex concepts into information meaningful to project team members and/or business personnel.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and team building skills.
• Positive attitude, self-driven, engaging, proactive, results driven.

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and its applicability to the Individual Market (Marketplace).
• Experience adapting to change required by CMS’s annual Notice of Benefit and Payment Parameters (NBPP) and Letter to Issuers in order to maintain compliance in the Individual Market.
• Experience managing an annual Qualified Health Plan (QHP) Application process with CMS.
