Job Description
The Account Manager for Supply Chain Managed Services is accountable for developing long-term, successful relationships with their clients. Successful client relationships are achieved when the client derives tangible and quantifiable value from their relationship with Accenture, leading to new opportunities for expansion and ongoing revenue growth.
Performance Responsibilities
- Externally, develop meaningful, value-added, and long-lasting relationships with key senior business and functional leaders within the client organization(s) of assigned accounts.
- Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key customer stakeholders and executive sponsors.
- Deliver client value through data analytics, process engineering and continuous improvement, and advice on industry best practices that contribute to the betterment of their business.
- Internally, serve as the “general manager” coordinating the engagement and involvement of all departments necessary to ensure the timely and successful delivery of Accenture’s solutions in a manner that meets or exceeds customer goals and objectives.
- Operate as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to assigned clients.
- Identify revenue growth opportunities within the client base, develop those opportunities, and close the business.
- Accurately forecast, meet and/or exceed client revenue targets.
- Leverage prior experience and domain expertise to identify strategies and develop operational plans for improving client Return-on-Investment (ROI) that is realized as a result of services.
- Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
- Collaborate with internal business partners to ensure that client needs are being met.
- Communicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist with high severity requests or issue escalations as needed.
Travel Requirement
10-25% per month.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in service or operations delivery.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in functional areas of Supply Chain operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Outsourcing (BPO) experience, preferably customer support, order management, warehouse, and/or logistics processes.
- Telecommunications and/or cable industry experience preferred.
- Background in management consulting preferred.
Professional Skills Requirements
- Experience networking with client organizations. Ability to identify the business opportunities.
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Experience developing and delivering business cases, including positioning the return on investment (ROI) for proposed services with existing and/or potential clients.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level.
- Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs.
- Ability to effectively interpret data and present results with confidence.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal, written and inter-personal communications skills.
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maryland, New York or Washington as set forth below.
